About Leslie Landau
Leslie Landau has immense respect for her natural surroundings. She is intrigued with the movement of a day’s light across a natural surface and being able to capture a moment in time. Landscape serves as a powerful metaphor for inquiry and seeking pathways through personal challenges and quests. The landscape is in perpetual motion, affected by time of day, atmospheric and seasonal change. Incorporating color not necessarily found in nature heightens the intensity of the original impression, with the intent of evoking an emotional response. Through her work, Leslie is continually seeking ways to connect color, with form and space.
Leslie Landau received a BFA in printmaking and drawing from Ohio State University and Graduate Certification, MS in Art Education from Central CT State University. Her abstract landscape paintings and pastel drawings have been included in exhibitions across Connecticut and New York, including the Mattatuck Museum, New Britain Museum of American Art, Silvermine Art Guild and Five Points Gallery. Leslie’s work is held in private collections around the United States.

About Amanda Surveski
Connecticut based artist, Amanda Surveski, grew up with an infatuation for art and nature. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia where she received a degree in illustration. After returning home, she began volunteering in wildlife rehab where she fostered her love for natural and animals. Since then, she has aimed to create images that connect back to local ecological issues, provoking those who see her work to engage more with the natural world, and hopefully in turn, to protect it. Amanda works in graphite, watercolor, colored pencil and acrylic. When not drawing or painting in her studio, Amanda works full-time as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.
